About Me
Hi, my name is Karine Robinson. I was born and raised in silver spring Maryland but moved to Texas in 2014. I attend the University of Texas at Arlington, I'm nineteen years old and I am a journalism major.
I'm a writer and a photographer, but you want to know something. I didn't always want to go into journalism. I never even dreamed of writing or taking pictures, a matter of a fact I didn't even know I had it in me to write or to take a nice picture. If you want to check out some photos that I've taken then check out my photography account on Instagram. Ever since I was little I always dreamed of being a pediatrician because I loved helping others, more importantly, I love to help out kids. I went into freshmen year of high school with the mindset of focusing on trying to become a doctor, well that didn't go as planned. Freshmen year I took a journalism class as one of my electives and I really loved it and I figured out that I'm pretty good at writing so I told my counselor that I want to change and I don't want to be a doctor anymore. So instead of taking classes that will help me prepare to be a doctor, I started taking classes that will help me become a writer. My sophomore year I joined yearbook, I was a staffer up until my senior year and I took photography class my junior year. I was self-taught in photography, I just started taking pictures everywhere I went and then joined photography class and figured out that I really wasn't that bad although I can improve. Although I don't want to be a doctor anymore, I can still help many people just through my words and photos.
